Who makes Spawnite
Spawnite is made by Daniel and David, two brothers in Canada. The platform is new. The following list is what there is to check today, and Contact gives the address to write to. Because the platform is new, plan on bringing your first players, as Where your players come from says.
What there is to check
Section titled “What there is to check”- The engine. 679 TypeScript source files, about 149,500 lines, with 511 test files of its own (counted 2026-10-05).
- The tests. 1,244 test files: 1,165 in the engine, its tools, the platform’s services and the games, and 79 in its web apps, such as the store and this wiki (counted 2026-10-05).
- Games built on it. Eight whole games ship as templates, each one
spawnite create --template <name>writes and each public in the examples repository. They are Holdfast, Depthfield, Sled, Crazy Eights, the arena, the mmorpg, a hack and slash, and the example the tour walks through. Scaffold files lists them. - The license’s commitments. No royalty, no later license that adds a fee or narrows what is yours, and a release that lets you run your games elsewhere if Spawnite stops, as If you leave, or if Spawnite stops says.
Contact
Section titled “Contact”Write to dev@spawnite.com about anything: a question, a bug, a request to publish a game outside Spawnite, or the license. The license names the same address.
The engine, the tools and the development room are under the Spawnite License 1.0. Its full text is at spawnite.com/license/1.0, and every @spawnite package carries it as LICENSE.md. License summarizes it, and If you leave, or if Spawnite stops says what it lets you keep and do.
