Work in progress. These docs describe Spawnite at launch, and some parts are still being built.

SweepRecord

What one moveCharacter call’s walk read and wrote. A re-run of the tick takes what it wrote instead of sweeping where every value it read is the same, bit for bit, the colliders that never move have not changed, nothing that moves stood within its reach on either run, and none of its queries met a tie. Made by createSweepRecord, and written in place by every call that sweeps.

Property Type Description
after ActorMotion Her motion record after the sweep.
before ActorMotion Her motion record before the sweep.
centre Vector -
clear boolean Whether no collider that moves, another walker or a kinematic or dynamic body, stood within the sweep’s reach when it ran.
climbCosine number -
deltaSeconds number -
drop number -
entity Entity | null The walker it records.
fixedChanges number The handle’s fixedChanges when it ran.
floorSnapDistance number -
gravity number -
groups number -
handle PhysicsHandle | null -
height number -
high Vector -
hitCount number The surfaces the walk met, the first hitCount of hits, which the call’s result reports.
hits WalkHit[] -
jumpHeight number The height of the jump the move launched, 0 for none.
kind Character -
low Vector The corners of the box every cast and ray of the sweep stays in.
offset number The gap the walk keeps between her and what she touches, physicsSettings.offset.
position Vector Her transform after the sweep.
radius number Her body: its size, its step and snap, its climb and its collision groups.
refused boolean Whether the last run of its step read what the record’s sweep read, bit for bit, and swept anyway because the record is tied.
reused boolean Whether the last run of its step took it rather than sweeping.
start Vector Where her body’s centre stood, as Rapier holds it.
step number -
target Vector Her transform as the step’s movement left it for the sweep.
tied boolean Whether one of the sweep’s queries met two colliders at once, the same distance away, and the query tree’s order picked which: a replay’s tree may pick the other, so the record is never taken.
valid boolean Whether it holds a sweep.
walked boolean Whether the sweep walked her, which moves her body to centre and stands her drawn feet at drop; standing still, it writes neither.
